Graves Welcomes Republican Committee Members Recommended by Steering Committee for the 117th CongressCommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure Ranking Member Sam Graves (R-MO) today welcomed the Republican Members recommended by the House Republican Steering Committee to serve on Transportation and Infrastructure in the 117th Congress. “Our Nation’s expansive transportation and infrastructure systems have shaped our economy for centuries and allowed commerce to grow and thrive,” said Graves. “That’s why the work of this committee is so essential, and I welcome the Republican Members who’ve been recommended to serve on Transportation and Infrastructure for the 117th Congress. We have important work ahead of us, including an overdue long-term reauthorization of surface transportation programs. Democrats have only the slimmest of majorities in the House and Senate, so we all need to work together to develop commonsense, practicable proposals to improve the infrastructure for communities of all sizes.” The following Republican Members are new to the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee: Tim Burchett (TN-02) Don Young (AK-AL) |
