Subcommittee to Hold Roundtable on Fixing and Reforming FEMA2167 Rayburn House Office BuildingWashington, D.C. – Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management Subcommittee Chairman Scott Perry (R-PA) announced that the Subcommittee will hold a roundtable with emergency management stakeholders to discuss options for fixing and reforming the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and to ensure that federal emergency assistance is provided efficiently and effectively to impacted communities and disaster victims. The roundtable, which will be held at 10:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building, comes as President Trump’s Council to Assess the Federal Emergency Management Agency is set to hold its second scheduled meeting on July 9th, and as the Committee continues to gather input on a discussion draft bill to significantly reform FEMA released in May by Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) and Committee Ranking Member Rick Larsen (D-WA).
