Subcommittee to Hold Hearing on Federal Courthouse Design and Construction

Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management Chairman Scott Perry (R-PA) announced that the Subcommittee will hold a hearing to evaluate the recent changes to the updated United States Courts official Design Guide, which dictates the basic requirements for new courthouses. Members will have the opportunity to examine how the changes have impacted the costs associated with designing, constructing, and operating federal courthouses. The hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.
