T&I Committee to Mark Up Bipartisan PIPES Act of 2023Washington, D.C. – Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) announced that the full Committee will hold a markup at 10:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building. The Committee will consider legislation to reauthorize the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s (PHMSA) pipeline safety programs for the next four years and provide an efficient and effective framework to advance the safety of energy infrastructure across the United States. The bipartisan bill was introduced on November 29th by Chairman Graves along with full Committee Ranking Member Rick Larsen (D-WA); Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials Subcommittee Chairman Troy Nehls (R-TX); and Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials Subcommittee Ranking Member Donald M. Payne, Jr. (D-NJ). The Committee will also continue proceedings on two measures that were postponed at the markup held on November 15, 2023. The Committee is scheduled to consider and vote on the following:
