Statement of Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Ranking Member Sam Graves (R-MO) regarding the results of a Department of Transportation Inspector General investigation released today by the Committee Majority:

“As Ranking Member of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, I worked closely with Secretary Chao, who served our country with great distinction.  Secretary Chao’s tireless work to rebuild America’s transportation systems throughout the entire country was a display of government at its best.  By contrast, those responsible for instigating this politically motivated attack represent Washington at its worst.  The investigation, which is devoid of reporting any new developments, shows this was a complete waste of time and taxpayer resources – and provides yet another unfortunate reminder of the lengths to which partisans will go to attack the achievements of an ideological opponent.”
