Hearing to Focus on Federal Truck & Bus Safety Programs

The Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, chaired by U.S. Rep. Sam Graves (R-MO), will hold a hearing next week to examine the federal motor carrier safety programs.  The Subcommittee will receive testimony from stakeholders about innovations in the industry and new technologies to increase safety, reduce injuries, prevent deaths, and avoid accidents.  In addition, the hearing will examine safety initiatives at the federal and state level, and review whether any improvements may be necessary.

This hearing, entitled “The Future of Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety: Technology, Safety Initiatives, and the Role of Federal Regulation,” is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.
