Subcommittee to Hold Hearing on Highway Priorities for the Next Surface Transportation Reauthorization

The Highways and Transit Subcommittee will hold a hearing with stakeholders to discuss the need for Congress to reauthorize the nation’s surface transportation programs, particularly those within the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The current surface transportation authorization is set to expire on September 30, 2026, and developing a comprehensive surface transportation reauthorization is a top priority of the Committee’s for the 119th Congress. The hearing, entitled “America Builds: Highways to Move People and Freight,” will be held at 10:15 a.m. ET on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.
