Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) issued the following statement in response to the passing of former Senator Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma:

“For decades, Jim Inhofe was a champion of transportation issues in Congress, and the Senate never had such a dedicated and tireless advocate for the general aviation community. He was truly an unstoppable force when he set out to accomplish something.  From leading on the Pilot’s Bill of Rights to so many other GA issues, Jim brought to bear his passion and expertise as a pilot and helped advance policies that made our nation’s aviation system stronger. I was lucky to have had the opportunity to work alongside him on many of these issues over the years, and I was always proud to call him my friend.  I offer my prayers and condolences to his wife, his children, and his entire family.”
