Subcommittee to Examine the Implementation of Recent Water Resources Development Laws and their impacts on the Nation

Washington - The Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment will hold a hearing next week to examine the implementation the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2014 and the Water Resources Development Act of 2016, which was enacted as part of the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act (WIIN Act).

This hearing of the Subcommittee on Water Resources and the Environment, chaired by U.S. Rep. Garret Graves (R-LA), is entitled, “Building a 21st Century Infrastructure for America: Implementation of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2014 and the Water Resources Development Act of 2016.” The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.

The Subcommittee will hear testimony from:

  • Mr. Douglas W. Lamont, P.E., Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Civil Works), Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army – Civil Works
  • Lieutenant General Todd T. Semonite, Commanding General and Chief of Engineers, United States Army Corps of Engineers
