Water Subcommittee to Examine the Role of Integrated Planning in America’s Water InfrastructureWashington, DC – The Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment will hold a hearing next week to examine the status of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) implementation of its integrated planning policy. The Subcommittee will focus on ways EPA can work with states and municipalities to develop integrated stormwater and wastewater requirements to achieve greater flexibility for communities to meet their Clean Water Act compliance obligations and maximize their limited resources to benefit to the communities they serve. This hearing of the Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment, chaired by U.S. Rep. Garret Graves (R-LA), is entitled, “Building a 21st Century Infrastructure for America: Improving Water Quality through Integrated Planning.” The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.
