This is roundtable policy discussion of the Subcommittee on Aviation will examine the issues related to modernizing and improving the efficiency of the United States air traffic control system (ATC).

One of the Committee’s highest priorities this year is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization that helps ensure ATC modernization and lays the groundwork for the future of the U.S. aviation system.  Roundtable participants will include representatives of the Department of Transportation Office of the Inspector General, National Air Traffic Controllers Association, Honeywell, Airlines for America, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and Reason Foundation.

The roundtable, entitled “Issues Regarding Modernizing and Operating the Nation’s Airspace System,” is open to the public but will not be webcast.
