Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) announced that the full Committee will hold a markup at 10:00 a.m. ET on Thursday, March 26, 2026, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building. The Committee will consider an updated version of the Airspace Location and Enhanced Risk Transparency (ALERT) Act of 2026, comprehensive legislation in response to the various aviation safety issues raised by the tragic 2025 midair collision between American Airlines Flight 5342 and a UH-60 Army Black Hawk helicopter at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).

The bill provides a thorough and comprehensive legislative solution to address critical aviation safety issues raised by the NTSB following the DCA accident.

The Committee is scheduled to consider the following legislation:

• Amendment in the nature of a substitute (ANS) to H.R. 7613, Airspace Location and Enhanced Risk Transparency (ALERT) Act of 2026
