Washington, D.C. – Joint statement of Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO), Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Ranking Member Rick Larsen (D-WA), Aviation Subcommittee Chairman Troy E. Nehls (R-TX), and Aviation Subcommittee Ranking Member André Carson (D-IN) regarding the runway accident at LaGuardia Airport in New York City:

“We are monitoring last night’s tragic runway incident at LaGuardia Airport. We are in touch with the appropriate agencies, including the National Transportation Safety Board, and we anticipate learning more of the facts about what caused this accident as the NTSB’s investigation progresses. We are praying for the families of the two pilots who lost their lives, and our thoughts remain with all of the passengers, crew, and firefighters who are recovering from injuries sustained in the accident.”
