T&I Committee to Mark Up Bills on Digital Pilot Certificates, Broadband Access in Appalachia, Protecting Americans’ Property in Other Countries and More

Washington, D.C. – Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) announced that the full Committee will hold a markup at 10:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.  The Committee will consider legislation that would allow pilots use digital versions of certain certificates, help improve broadband access through Appalachian Regional Commission projects, limit the access to U.S. ports of vessels that have called on foreign ports or properties once owned by American entities but were nationalized by other governments, and more.

The Committee is scheduled to consider the following legislation:

  • Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute (ANS) to H.R. 7084, Defending American Property Abroad Act of 2026
  •  ANS to H.R. 6744, Military Air Traffic Control Transition Act
  •  ANS to H.R. 6618, Wildfire Aerial Response Safety Act
  •  ANS to H.R. 2247, Pilot Certificate Accessibility Act
  •  ANS to H.R. 2474, Expanding Appalachia’s Broadband Access Act
