Graves Welcomes Representative Vince Fong to T&IWashington, D.C. – Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) today welcomed Congressman Vince Fong, a Republican representing California’s 20th Congressional District, to the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. “As a former Member of the California State Assembly and seven-year member of its Transportation Committee, Congressman Fong is an experienced legislator, and I am excited to welcome him to the T&I Committee,” said Chairman Graves. “Congressman Fong is joining us at a busy time, as we work towards the completion of multiple bills such as the Water Resources Development Act of 2024 and reauthorizations of pipeline safety programs and the Coast Guard. I look forward to Congressman Fong’s contributions to our upcoming legislative priorities, as well as our ongoing oversight of the Biden Administration to prevent waste, fraud, and abuse in its implementation of the infrastructure law.” “I look forward to hitting the ground running and working with Chairman Sam Graves and the entire Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to make needed investment in our communities’ roads, airports, and infrastructure,” said Rep. Fong. “Having served on the California Assembly Transportation Committee, I know first-hand the importance of strengthening our critical supply chain to support farmers, ranchers, and local businesses in the Central Valley, and I am eager to learn from Chairman Graves and my colleagues on the committee on commonsense solutions to benefit not just California, but our entire country.” Rep. Fong was sworn in on June 3, 2024. He will serve on the Subcommittee on Aviation and the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials. |
