Subcommittee to Hold Hearing on the U.S. Coast Guard’s Recapitalization Needs

Washington, D.C. – Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Subcommittee Chairman Daniel Webster (R-FL) announced that the Subcommittee will hold a hearing to receive testimony from the United States Coast Guard and the Government Accountability Office (GAO) on Coast Guard recapitalization efforts. Specifically, the Subcommittee will focus on major surface assets including the Offshore Patrol Cutters (OPC) and Polar Security Cutters (PSC), rotary wing aircraft, shoreside infrastructure, and Information Technology (IT). The hearing will be held at 10:15 a.m. ET on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.
