Subcommittee to Receive Update on Coast Guard Acquisition Programs and Mission Effectiveness

Washington, DC - The Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation, chaired by U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA), will hold a hearing next Tuesday to review the U.S. Coast Guard’s integration of their acquisition, manpower, and maintenance plans with their mission needs to ensure the Service has the equipment, talent, and manpower necessary to accomplish its critical missions for the American people.

The Subcommittee hearing, entitled “Update on Coast Guard Acquisition Programs and Mission Balance and Effectiveness,” is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building. 

Witnesses will include:

  • Vice Admiral Daniel Abel, Deputy Commandant for Operations, United States Coast Guard
  • Vice Admiral Michael McAllister, Deputy Commandant for Mission Support, United States Coast Guard
  • Ms. Marie A. Mak, Director of Acquisition and Sourcing Management, Government Accountability Office
