Washington, DC – Earlier today, U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall, (R-GA) released a video detailing why H.R. 8, the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA), is important for his Congressional District, the State of Georgia, and the Nation. The video can be seen here.

In the video, Rep. Woodall focuses on the positive economic impact WRDA has had on his region stemming from activity at the Port of Savannah, a facility that is in the process of a major expansion project thanks to WRDA legislation. Once complete, the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project will deepen the harbor, enabling the port to take advantage of larger container ships transiting the Atlantic as a result of the recent Panama Canal expansion.
