Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-PA) today made the following announcement regarding Committee staff changes.

Jennifer Hall and Matt Sturges, who have served as the Committee’s Deputy Staff Directors since September 2014, will now lead the Committee staff.

Hall will also continue to serve as the Committee’s General Counsel.  She joined T&I in 2006, and has previously served as Counsel to the Highways and Transit Subcommittee and as Counsel to the Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management. 

Sturges will continue to oversee the Committee’s strategic projects, Member services, press, and coalition operations.  A Capitol Hill veteran, he joined the Committee staff in January 2013, and has also previously served as Aviation Subcommittee Staff Director, and as the Committee’s Director of Member Services. 

“Jennifer and Matt have been key members of the Committee team since I became Chairman, and their work has been integral to our legislative accomplishments, including WRRDA, the FAST Act, PRRIA, and other bills,” Shuster said.  “The Committee has more work to do, and I know that the T&I Members and I can rely on Jennifer and Matt to provide veteran leadership, guidance, and continuity as we move forward with important legislation to improve America’s infrastructure and bolster our economic competitiveness.  ”
