Roundtable Policy Discussion on “NextGen Priorities”2167 Rayburn House Office Building
The Subcommittee on Aviation, chaired by U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-NJ), will hold a roundtable policy discussion on the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) efforts to address the NextGen Advisory Committee’s (NAC) recommendations for developing the United States’ NextGen air traffic control system.
Over the last decade, the FAA has been planning for, developing, and implementing NextGen. While the FAA has made some progress, the agency has also experienced significant setbacks, including cost overruns and program delays. In July 2013, the FAA tasked the NAC with reviewing the agency’s plans and activities that have an effect on the NextGen implementation and develop a prioritized list of consensus recommendations. Thursday’s roundtable will examine the FAA’s implementation of the NAC recommendations. Roundtable participants:
