Washington, DC - Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-PA) today announced the appointment of Misty McGowen as the Committee’s Director of Outreach and Coalitions.
Misty joins the Committee from the American Petroleum Institute (API), where she spent the last seven years as the Director of Federal Relations. Prior to that, she served on the staff of Senator Mike Crapo from Idaho. Originally from West Monroe, Louisiana, Misty played collegiate tennis in Louisiana and Arkansas before earning a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas.
“The quality of our infrastructure impacts the lives of every single American, and building a 21st century infrastructure for America will take a broad and diverse coalition of stakeholders,” Shuster said. “Misty’s experience will help ensure that the Committee and our Members can create effective public and private sector partnerships to strengthen our transportation systems and make America more competitive.”
