Washington, D.C. - Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-PA) released the following statement after the House Republican Conference approved the selection of U.S. Rep. Sam Graves (R-MO) to serve as Ranking Member of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure in the 116th Congress:
“I have known Sam Graves since I came to Congress, and in that time I have learned that no one has as much knowledge and passion for the issues before the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee as Sam. He knows how important infrastructure is to our economy and the everyday lives of Americans, will work hard to promote sound transportation policy and uphold conservative principles, and is an outstanding choice to lead Republicans on the T&I Committee in the coming Congress. I congratulate Sam and look forward to his leadership as the Committee continues the work of improving our Nation’s infrastructure and creating jobs in the coming years.”
