UPDATED WITNESS LIST: Congressional Subcommittees to Hold Joint Field Hearing on Port Safety, Security & Infrastructure at PortMiami

Two Congressional subcommittees will hold a joint hearing at PortMiami in Florida this Friday to examine emerging challenges to safety and security at U.S. ports as well as the state of port infrastructure and future investment needs.

The hearing was announced last week by U.S. Rep. Daniel Webster (R-FL), Chairman of the Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Subcommittee of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and U.S. Rep. Carlos Gimenez, Chairman of the Transportation and Maritime Security Subcommittee of the Committee on Homeland Security.

The joint hearing, entitled “Port Safety, Security, and Infrastructure Investment,” is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. ET on Friday, April 5, 2024, in Terminal E of PortMiami located at 1265 North Cruise Boulevard, Miami, FL 33132.
