UPDATED: Aviation Subcommittee to Examine the State of the Air Transportation Industry in the 21st Century

Washington – Tomorrow, the Subcommittee on Aviation will hold its third in a series of hearings as part of its preparations for developing a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reform and reauthorization bill later this year. 

The Subcommittee will continue to explore how the federal government should best direct its efforts to ensure the America aviation system, which is a vital segment of our economy, remains competitive in an evolving global marketplace. The Subcommittee will focus its hearing on the current state of the U.S. air transportation industry and will continue to discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with building a globally competitive 21st century aviation infrastructure.

This hearing of the Subcommittee on Aviation, chaired by U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-NJ), is entitled: “Building a 21st Century Infrastructure for America: Air Transportation in the United States in the 21st Century.” The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.
