The Panel on 21st Century Freight Transportation, established by Full Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-PA) and Ranking Member Nick J. Rahall, II (D-WV) to examine the current state of freight transportation in the United States and how improving freight transportation can strengthen the U.S. economy, will release its final report and recommendations to the Committee during a Tuesday, October 29th press conference.

The Full Committee’s Vice Chairman, Rep. John J. Duncan, Jr. (R-TN), who chairs the Panel on 21st Century Freight Transportation, and the Panel’s Ranking Member Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), will be joined at Tuesday’s press conference by Committee Chairman Shuster, Ranking Member Rahall, and other members of the Freight Panel.

By the rules of the Committee adopted at the beginning of the Congress, the Chairman may create special panels for the purpose of examining specific issues within the Committee’s jurisdiction.
