Washington, DC – Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Chairman Bill Shuster (R-PA) released the following statement in response to the President’s speech today in Chattanooga, Tennessee:

“An effective transportation system is critical to the country’s economic growth and competitiveness. I appreciate the President drawing attention to these important issues. However, continuously recycling old ideas offers little substance in moving forward to address our nation’s infrastructure needs.”
