Purpose of the Hearing

On Thursday, April 20, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., in room 2167 Rayburn House Office Building, the Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment received testimony from representatives of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Maryland Department of Environmental Quality, academia, and other interested parties.  The purpose of the hearing was to gather more information on the relationship between the storage and disposal of coal combustion waste (CCW) and water quality.
